Detta är ett kandidatarbete i trädgårdsdesign som behandlar gestaltning med vinterfägring. Genom ett mentorsprojekt mellan Lomma kommun och SLU fick jag en förfrågan av parkchef Lennart Persson om att utforma gestaltningsförslag med vacker vinterfägring. Syftet med arbetet har således varit att utforma tre intressanta och inspirerande förslag med praktfulla prydnadsplanteringar för området intill Storgatan och Karstorpsvägen i Lomma. I arbetet finns också en platsanalys som bygger på Catherine Dee?s teori The seven-part morphology.

This essay concerns the Celts during the Iron Age, and their ritual practice in human sacrifice. The method applied is an eclectic historic-critic reading of the few classical sources that exist together with archeological material and scholars conclusions of literal sources and archeological material. The hypothesis is that human sacrifice in the Celtic realm not is to be seen as a primitive act of violence, but that it filled a social function to preserve society and the Celtic way of life.The question this essay strives to answer is Which function/s do human sacrifice fill in a Celtic context during the Iron Age? The question is analysed with the aid of Radcliffe-Brown?s and Catherine Bell?s theories on ritual, as well as Malcolm Chapman?s postmodern ideas of the conception of the Celtic. The purpose of this Master's Thesis is to explore the influence of fiction on the identity and self-esteem of young women. The purpose is also to investigate if there are any books that they consider to be of importance for their identity. Furthermore, I investigate what appeals to young women generally in fiction and if it is difficult for them to find books that appeal to them. The primary question posed in this thesis is: How does fiction influence the identity development of young women? The data collection is based on literature on the subject and on interviews with eight young women between 15 and 20 years old.

This qualitative research study aims to investigate how eight members of the Society of Friends (also known as Quakers) experience a divine presence in their Meeting for Worship. The purpose is also to find out how their identity as Quakers has been created, and to see how they look at their Meeting of Worship when it comes to ritual as a concept.The method used in this study is individual, semi-structured interviews and observations of Meeting of Worship. The results show a relatively homogeneous group of individuals from a secular upbringing who as adults sought out a community where silence is appreciated and used to achieve an experience of a divine presence. Berger and Luckmann's theories of socialization have been applied to the results and the discussion reveals how the secondary socialization has been essential in the process of forming the individual into being a Quaker. There is however one exception, in the form of one participant who grew up in the Society of Friends.

Alla fotografier har en avsändare och en mottagare. Fotografiet hjälper till att forma vår bild av verkligheten, men det är inte en obeskuren verklighet vi betraktar.Henri Cartier-Bresson är nära sammankopplad med gatufotografin, som i sin tur är nära sammankopplad med den romantiserade bilden av det fria och direkta livet, ocensurerat och äkta. Jag undersöker om det går att skönja fotografens handling i bilden, och jag ifrågasätter tron på gatans svartvita realism.

The purpose of this thesis is to form an idea about the qualitative value and meaning of reading fiction in a psychological perspective and over a lifetime. Seven women, 68-79 years old, were interviewed about their reading habits of fiction in their lifetime. The material is presented as life stories. I use an inter-nordic research project called the SKRIN project which looks upon reading habits from an individualistic and psychological perspective. I also refer to an American study which focus on reading development with roles readers take in different ages of life written by J A Appleyard.
